Dear Chancellor May, Chair Flores, and Members of the Board of Trustees of Dallas College:
We, the faculty council leadership, understand that you recently received a letter from “Dallas College Chapter of the American Association of University Professors” (DCAAUP) dated Thursday, November 12, 2020.
On behalf of the Dallas Community College Faculty Association (DCCFA), we wish to convey that the DCCFA has no relationship with this local chapter of the AAUP. While some Dallas College faculty may maintain membership in both the AAUP and the DCCFA, no formal relationship exists.
We were not aware that DCAAUP was sending this letter and regret any confusion it may have caused.
