Dr. Jannette Flores, the new Dean of Curriculum, Assessment, and Portfolio Management (reporting to Greg Morris within Academic Services) on Dec. 16 reported to the Faculty Council and Vice Provosts, that faculty do NOT have to collect core objective assessment data in Spring 2021.
Instead, Dr. Flores said that the Spring 2021 semester would be used for faculty to collaborate with her office to develop assessment plans that will continue to satisfy SACS, THECB, and any applicable program industry accreditation requirements, but as One College instead of seven.
As part of this initiative, faculty will be asked to participate in professional development on core objective and learning outcomes assessment in Spring 2021, again to make sure we are assessing and using data as a single institution when core objective assessment resumes in Fall 2021.
Again, we do not have to do core objective assessment in Spring 2021.
