The Faculty Council met Friday, August 13, 2021, to elect a new President, Vice President, and Secretary of the DCCFA.
Ryan Pettengill had resigned as president of the Mountain View Faculty Association effective August 7, and thus also as President of the DCCFA. The MVCFA elected Margo Silva to succeed him as president of the MVCFA.
Jennifer Hudson Allen has taken a one-semester leave of absence as president of the Brookhaven Faculty Association. BHCFA Vice President Peggy Mason has succeeded her has interim president of the BHCFA.
The DCCFA Faculty Council now consists of:
Brookhaven: Peggy Mason
Cedar Valley: Tommy Thompson
El Centro: Wade Hyde
Eastfield: Matt Hinckley
Mountain View: Margo Silva
North Lake: Keith Baker
Richland: Rolanda Randle
On August 13, the Council elected the following officers:
President: Tommy Thompson
Vice President: Margo Silva
Secretary: Peggy Mason
Keith Baker continues to serve as Treasurer.
In addition, the Council also agreed to re-assign chairs of several of the DCCFA standing committees. The committee chairs are now as follows:
Budget and Finance: Keith Baker
Communications: Peggy Mason
Convention Planning: Rolanda Randle
Instructional Goals and Academic Freedom: Wade Hyde
Membership: Tommy Thompson
Political Information: Matt Hinckley
Welfare and Benefits: Margo Silva
