MS Teams Site Created for DCCFA Members to Discuss Proposed Resolutions and Amendments in Advance of Feb. 5 Special Convention - NEW INFORMATION ADDED

DCCFA Secretary Jennifer Hudson Allen has created a site within Dallas College MS Teams, for DCCFA members to discuss the proposed resolutions, bylaws amendments, and constitutional amendments, to be considered for a vote at the special DCCFA Convention on Friday, Feb. 5, 2021.

This is the direct link to the MS Teams site: https://teams.microsoft.com/l/team/19%3a14b9961759114acc9a8cd3b34b66d6e5%40thread.tacv2/conversations?groupId=29bd6134-fb5d-47d4-8424-2ec0b0a20c8b&tenantId=d67e5453-732f-4adc-94a4-4888f2d97d5d

Only dues-paying DCCFA members have access to this MS Teams site. If you are a dues-paying member of DCCFA and do not have access, please notify your campus faculty association president.

EDIT AS OF 2:30 P.M. TUESDAY, JAN. 26: NOTE THAT AN UPDATED PDF DOCUMENT OF THE RESOLUTIONS HAS BEEN POSTED TO THIS DCCFA SHAREPOINT FOLDER. THIS IS THE NAME OF THE FILE:

1-26-2021 DCCFA Proposed Amendments and Resolutions.pdf

The following ground rules for discussion have been posted:

1. Stay on topic: We are discussing the convention resolutions and changes only. Nothing else (administration, politics, religion, moon phases, job status, etc.) will be discussed.

2. Be nice: We will discuss as colleagues, and should be able to agree to disagree with respect for each other. Anyone who is rude or inappropriate will be removed, regardless of their status as a dues paying member.

3. Be cool: We are all different people, trying to survive in a pandemic, teaching online, caring for our families, and trying to carve out time for ourselves. Be aware that what might sound okay to you may be wildly offensive to others.

In addition, a series of Resolution Round Tables have been scheduled for the days and times below. These sessions will hopefully be recorded so members can watch them if needed. Each session will be 90 minutes, and we may not need all the time allotted.

The authors of the resolutions are encouraged to attend the corresponding session to answer questions.
